Lydia and Conrad.
I don’t even know how to begin this blogpost, or what to say that does these two justice or gives them the credit they deserve.
First of all, let me just say, to any bride that has been affected by the coronavirus, you have my entire heart. I’m so sorry that one of the biggest days of your life has to be changed or postponed or altered in some way. I’m sorry that if you are keeping your original wedding date, your dream honeymoon is also being canceled. It’s not fair, and it’s okay to be sad and disappointed.
But guys, it doesn’t have to steal your joy. Let this blog post, and Conrad and Lydia be proof of that very thing. They changed their original big wedding day to a very small, intimate celebration with only their families and bridal party. And I have never witnessed a more excited, overjoyed, radiant bride and groom. They were glowing! And their day was so special and beautiful and SO fun. Everything was held at the house of the bride. Their families made the meal (which was AMAZING) and Lydia, her mom and sisters created this gorgeous, cozy, bohemian atmosphere in their barn with candles and rose petals scattered all over the floor… It honestly felt like it could have been strait out of a movie. Oh and guys, I forgot to mention, not only was their whole day rearranged at the last minute, but it also rained. The entire day. But here’s the thing, they didn’t care. They still married their very best friend that day and that’s the only thing that really mattered.
I have so many favorite moments from their day- their first look in the orchard, the photos of Lydia and her parents (tears), their vows, and if you scroll to the very end you’ll see my all time favorite cake smash ever. Haha. So good.
Conrad and Lydia, Thank you. Thank you for being so amazing. Thank you for choosing joy. And Thank you for letting us be a small part of your lives. We can’t wait to celebrate your big wedding reception this summer!! XO
XOXO
