Hi there! Welcome to the blog, a journal featuring our most recent weddings, engagements, and occasional travels. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Kayla.

Jordan and Annelise: Walnut Creek Wedding

Jul 13, 2017

Jordan and Annelise’s wedding day was a *dream*. I don’t ever remember a more relaxed, just all around fun day. Annelise (along with her sisters and mother) made planning a wedding look effortless and the entire day went off without a hitch, which is a huge feat considering there were 400+ guests! There were lots of adorable kiddos (including two tiny baby nieces), allll the pretty pink details, and gorgeous flowers galore. And the weather!! It was seventy degrees and sunny- perfect for the outdoor reception on her parents farm. If I could find a way to order the weather on wedding days, I’d order ten days just like Saturday.
Also, I’m sure the second you see the photos you’ll agree these two make the most stunning bride and groom, but I promise they are just as sweet and kind as they are beautiful! There aren’t two people more deserving of such a wonderful day!
Jordan and Annelise, “Thank you” doesn’t seem adequate. You were beyond welcoming and made us feel like family, and we’re so grateful! Your day is one we’ll always remember. XO
Kayla

Hi! I have been following your blog for some time now, and I really admire your work 🙂 Quick question- do you remember what lense you used for your bridal portraits?
    Thank You,

      Charity,
Awh, thanks so much! That means the world. For the majority of the portraits I used the 85mm 1.4 which is my all time favorite!! For a few of the portraits of Annelise in the morning during the getting ready portion I used my Sigma 35mm. Hope this helps. 🙂
      XO
