Hi there! Welcome to the blog, a journal featuring our most recent weddings, engagements, and occasional travels. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Kayla.

Our Wedding.

Jul 4, 2013

Last week we celebrated our one year anniversary. I really can hardly believe how fast a year has gone by and how much our lives have changed.
We are LOVING married life, and I can not begin to say how thankful I am to have such a wonderful man in my life.
He has been my steady source of support, my anchor when I am sure life is about to fall apart completely, and my constant encourager in the good and the bad.
I love being able to call him mine.

I couldn’t think of a better time to share a few of our absolute favorites from that splendid day last summer when I first got to call him my husband.

There’s a ton, so consider yourself warned. 😉

Photo credits to the completely amazing Camilla Photography.
She was so wonderful, and I could NOT be more thrilled with my photos.

I don’t know what I would do without such gorgeous little sisters, and my wonderful mother.
They are the best.

Some cousin loving. Isn’t she the cutest miniature bride ever? I think so.

I’m convinced my family is the best in the world.

And my big little-brother.
His life was far from normal during his senior year of high school, but he has done a super job taking over a lot of dad’s responsibilities at home. I am SO proud to be his big sister.

Hands down one of my most precious pictures of all time…
Dad, I love you.

We chose to do a first look before the ceremony, and really it was one of the best decisions of the whole day.
The entire day was so much more relaxed, and to be able to have good photos of the first time Mike saw me in my dress is priceless.
This is one of my favorite pictures of us.

Oh and can I just add- it didn’t make walking down the aisle any less special.

The flowers were AMAZING! They were exactly what I was envisioning!!
Sharon went way above and beyond- I would SO recommend her to anyone.

RECEPTION TIME!!

Every last bit of the details, food, and decor was thanks to my seriously AWESOME mom, sisters, aunts, and cousins.
They slaved weeks up to the wedding making sure everything was thought through and perfect.
Every time I turned around they had another genius idea or yummy recipe.

So thank you again. You all are wonderful.

My sister came fully prepared with an enormous list of notes for her speech, so ya know… she doesn’t get off topic. Lol.

After the reception we headed to Longwood Gardens for our formal portraits.
Best decision ever. The place is full of endless photo-opportunities.
