Hi there! Welcome to the blog, a journal featuring our most recent weddings, engagements, and occasional travels. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Kayla.

Troy and Andrea

Jul 21, 2010

It was a beautiful, warm summer day, and everything was ready for Troy and Andrea’s big day.

Andrea walked around under the reception pavilion in her veil, jeans, and a t-shirt touching up last minute details before heading inside to change into her dress. She was so calm, so relaxed, and sooo beautiful, as was her gorgeous wedding dress. Trust me it looks good on the hanger but it looked ten times better on Andrea.

The miniature bride, Andrea’s niece Autumn, was so darling and did a super job all day long!

While mom photographed Andrea and the girls getting ready, I took got some shots of the groomsmen. Let me just say, these guys were as crazy as they look and were totally and completely AWESOME! I could’ve stood there and laughed at them all afternoon, but since my job was  to take their pictures here’s one of my favorites…

Andrea,  Troy said you’re going to want one without the shades, so this picture is specifically for you… 😉

A little bling never hurt anyone… and definitely not if there’s hats involved! 🙂

Andrea and Troy didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, so when Andrea was ready she called Troy to make sure he was inside before she went out…

When Troy saw Andrea for the first time, he teared up a little… It was so sweet, and showed just how much he really loves her!!

I really really liked her dad, too. He was calm and laid back, but you could tell that he adored his daughter, and she just radiated smiles the entire day!

the cake was made by two of Andrea’s aunts; and had come all the way from Indiana!

They were trying to see who could pull it down first, and it was just too cute!!

After they were finished eating, the groomsmen kidnapped Troy, locked him up somewhere, and stole his hat and boots. In order to get her groom back they made Andrea collect ransom money in his hat from all their guests… 🙂

And one final shot of the fabulous couple…

Troy and Andrea, thank you so much for including me in your special day. It was truly an honor. Hope your honeymoon in Tennessee is fabulous, and BEST WISHES as you begin your married life together. xoxo
