Grenada

I know, I know, it’s been like two months since I was in Grenada, but my schedule has been just a little bit crazy lately with end of the school-year stuff and such. At any rate, I got these really cool blog it boards from MCP Actions, so I decided to try them out for some of my Grenada pictures.

I didn’t know where to start with pictures (I had *literally* hundreds of pictures) so I just picked out some of my absolute favorites and the ones that kind of summed our trip up. We taught Bible school in the mornings and then had the afternoons off for going to the beach or exploring town.

These are some of the cuties that came to Bible school and stole our hearts…

I should say, first, that we kind of had a rough time actually getting to Grenada. Our layover was in Trinidad (an island about a half an hour flight from Grenada), and well… lets just say: we didn’t have a long enough layover, and, yes, we missed our connecting flight. I don’t know how many of you have ever had a layover in another country, but those of you who have probably know what I mean when I say they run their airports completely differently than we do. They will get you a different flight when and IF they feel like it… So, since we got there at 6:30 in the morning we spent the day in Trinidad and half of us had to sleep there overnight– on the hard granite floor (I have NEVER been so thankful for my bed in my life). But thanks to Vernon Huyard we got to explore the island a little on a hike to a nearby waterfalls, and now I can say I have been to Trinidad. 🙂

Here’s a picture of the waterfall. Because of the serious drought they were having it was less than half of its normal size but it was still gorgeous.

The next two are my favorite pictures from Trinidad and maybe even from the whole week. Poor Marita 😉

I didn’t have very many pictures of the actual Bible School, but here’s one I snapped the one day during class…

Saturday, before we left we all hopped on the back of the truck and toured the island for a couple hours…

We stopped to feed the monkeys…

There were so many other things that we did or that happened during the week (stuff like catching, roasting, and eating snails or having a couple cameras and phones robbed) but I’ll stop before I bore you all to death. It was an amazing, challenging, and rewarding week, and our class definately grew alot closer through the trip.
